At th age of 17, when most teenage girls are pondering over what to wear to the prom, DJ Bomshell was more concerned about keeping the prom, and any other party in that case, pumpin'!! She was on a mission to compete (and win) against seasoned and well-known DJs in her hometown of New Orleans, LA. Within weeks, her competitive spirit has turned what was once just a hobby into a “tug of war” on the turntables. She quickly established herself as a force in the DJ world and landed her very first residency at a French Quarter favorite,The Dragons Den. It was there that she blended an eclectic mix of underground rap, HipHop, R&B, Soul, House Music, Pop and Neo-Soul. With her unique style and undeniable skill, she triggered a myriad mix of people, music and social classes that if only just for a few hours, were all united to hear great music.

It was from the popularity of this “underground” spot that she was sought after as the primary DJ for the more mainstream clubs and parties that were bubbling in the Big Easy. She also gained greater exposure at larger venues in the city, performing on the same stage and opening for Fantasia and Keyshia Cole at the world renowned New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. She also opened for Trombone Shorty’s album release party for the album “Backatown” as well as the DJ Opener for the Smokers Club Tour headlining Big KRIT, Curren$y and Method Man.

While becoming quite the sensation in NOLA, she was offered the 5 p.m. afternoon drive slot on KKND Power 102.9. Known as "The Power Mix at 5 with DJ Bomshell Boogie", this spot proved to
be groundbreaking in that she became the first female mixshow DJ on the radio in that
market ever. It was there that she gained the reputation for being the first to break the

hottest songs in the market. From her growing popularity on the show and landing the hottest interviews, she then went on to host a “syndicated style” show called "THE TEA with Bomshell Boogie". The show was an instant success, with celebrity interviews that were featured on websites such as Worldstar Hip-Hop, The YBF, and other popular blog sites. With success both on the air and in the DJ booth, her fan base continued to rise, as did the accolades.

Bomshell Boogie has been featured in several publications including OzoneMagazine (the DJ edition) and in Hip Hop Weekly as one of the top 10 DJs in New Orleans. She has also appeared in Essence and Vibe magazines for her trendy fashion style.

Her next venture allowed her to see the world outside of New Orleans. As a tour DJ for the artist, Curren$y, she spent nearly 5 years on the road, visiting multiple cities within a week. It was this assignment that allowed her to really evolve and share her talent with the world, gaining thousands of followers along the way.

Bomshell Boogie now lives in Atlanta, GA where she continues to spin at the Soul Bar, Blue Room and many other clubs and events in the city.  Her reach is far beyond the clubs and parties where she got her start. She is now sought out by corporations and major events including Essence Festival, Car and Bike show, MAC Cosmetics, Adidas, NBA All Star Game, Carol’s Daughter, Lifetime Movie Network, and more. As a well-respected artist, she has claimed her throne and title as 1 of the hottest DJs in the game!
